Ka Joyli (or Budjoy) is a 24 year old Red fighter of the New People's Army in Northeastern Mindanao. Ka Joyli is a former track and field athlete who participated in the Palarong Pambansa (National Games) when she was in high school.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today lambasted the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for making baseless claims that the New People's Army (NPA) was behind the burning of a public school building in a Masbate barrio last Monday evening.

An official of the Philippine Army's 9th Infantry Division yesterday accused the NPA of razing the three-classroom school building in Barangay Gaid, Dimasalang, Masbate.

The Arnulfo Ortiz Command of the New People's Army in Western Samar today branded former NPA member Norberto “Huling” Gacuma a mouthpiece of the 8th Infantry Division for vilifying the revolutionary movement at present. “Gacuma pretends to have surrendered and come out only in January 2010, but it is public knowledge that he had defected to the military in 2007, because he had been actively particpating in military operations and had also made a sworn statement against the revolutionary movement that was widely heard on the radio,” said Ka Vicente Magbuhat, AOC spokesperson.
