The Valentin Palamine Regional Operations Command of the NPA operating in FarSouth Mindanao categorically states it has not sent any death threat to anyone, much less to a Williamor Magbanua as purported in the said article.

A unit of the New People's Army dis-armed Congressman Pichay and Henrik Pimentel who were with a Regional Mobile Group (RMG) team and their private army at 2 pm today in Sitio Cadlum, Brgy. Kabangahan, Tago, Surigao del Sur. Confiscated from them were ten (10) firearms, which include four (4) AK-47, three (3) M16, two (2) Cal. 45, one (1) .40mm and one (1) .9mm. They were disarmed by the NPA because they failed to coordinate and seek the permission of the revolutionary government in the area, which violates the revolutionary movement's policy on election campaigns.

Members of NAAC-NPA-Rizal ambushed combined elements of SAF-PNP and 16th IB-PA last April 22 , 2010 at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon in Masalo, Sitio Tayabasan, San Jose, Antipolo City, Rizal. The government troops were pursuing the NPA-Rizal who ambushed the SAF Commando-PNP last April 20, 2010. Unknown to the pursuing government troops, members of the NPA-Rizal had set an ambush in the area that they would be passing through. At around 3 PM, firefight started and lasted for about 1 hour.

The NPA's Magtanggol Roque Command Front 51 Operations Command in Southern Mindanao ambushed a 16-man section of the Cafgu/39th Infantry Battalion of the 10th Infantry Division-AFP Sunday, April 25 around 6:00 AM in Sitio Patulangon, Brgy. Coronon, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur. The almost two-hour firefight resulted to two dead and one wounded on the enemy side while the NPA suffered no casualty. The NPA also seized one M14 rifle.
