Si Kenneth ay konsehal ng barangay, nanalo nang landslide at unang laban bilang kapitan ng Barangay Maguihan, Lemery, Batangas. Tumatayo din siyang Tagapangulo ng panlalawigan balangay ng Bagong Alyansang Makabayan. Ayon sa Karapatan-Batangas ang mga salarin na 2 lalake ay walang-awang pinagbabaril si Kapitan Kenneth. Tinamaan siya ng 4 na punglo ng kalibre 45 sa katawan. Kaagad siyang nalagutan ng hininga.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today said the revolutionary masses and forces under the National Democratic Front (NDF), as well as its friends and allies are to celebrate the 38th founding anniversary of the revolutionary alliance on April 24, coinciding with the Catholic Church's celebration of Easter Sunday. The CPP declared, however, that an "easter ceasefire declaration is highly unlikely" as the Aquino government and its chief negotiator "continue to exhibit unpeaceable attitudes and actions."

The people are completely justified in commemorating May First as a Day of Outrage. The Filipino toiling masses and people have every right to vent their anger against the Aquino regime.

The living conditions of workers and the people in general have been rapidly deteriorating. After almost a year under Aquino, all his promised changes have come to nought and failed to improve the people's lot.

The Cordillera People's Democratic Front (CPDF) commends the Agustin Begnalen Command (ABC) of the New People's Army (NPA-Abra) for successfully repulsing a series of attacks by the 50th Infantry Battalion from March 29 to the first week of April in the far-flung barangays of Tubo, Abra. According to the belated field reports of the local NPA Command, about 7 KIA (killed in action) and 2 WIA (wounded in action) were incurred by the enemy side aside from the damage done on the two choppers conducting retrieval and resupply operations.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today urged UN Special Representative on Children and Armed Conflict Radhika Coomaraswamy to investigate the incident last March 4 in Matuguinao, Samar where fascist troops of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) carried out military operations against residents of Barangay Carolina subjecting children and their parents to terrorism and abuse.
