The breaking of diplomatic protocol by the respective principals of the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), for the sake of achieving a final peace settlement is admirable if only the outcome of their talks truly serve the best interest of the Moro and non-Moro peoples alike.

Such an agreement must be based on the Moro people’s genuine right to self-determination, sovereignty, patrimony, and basic economic and political reforms that shall mainly benefit the long-suffering Bangsamoro.

Zubiri's resignation exposes the US-Arroyo's "low tech" cheating; The US-Aquino regime's "high tech" hocus-PCOS is even worse

In a remarkable display of courage, Juan Miguel Zubiri's resignation from his post as a senator proved just how inherently flawed reactionary elections are, irrefutably riddled with massive cheating, deception and violence.

Mr. Zubiri's resignation, however, is neither enough to run after and punish the very architects behind the massive 2007 poll fraud, nor enough to reform an utterly defective electoral system.

The armed revolutionary movement in Caraga started in the year 1975 in Agusan del Norte, it spread and is currently rooted in a large percent of the towns and cities in the four provinces. The people’s revolutionary armed struggle has gone through many twists and turns throughout its 35 years history. It achieved many victories and faced problems in its construction and current status.

The failures, problems, even the victories achieved were nourished with the blood and lives of good and great youthful Red Fighters of the NPA, Party cadres and masses who gave their lives to the revolution. Their revolutionary contribution cannot be denied, thier martyrdom an unshakeable monument of tHE struggle in Caraga that should be spread, praised and proclaimed, and followed.

CPP sees US hand in Aquino talk with Murad

Communist Party of the Philippines
August 7, 2011

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today said "the US government's fingerprints are all over" Philippine President Benigno Aquino III's meeting last Thursday with Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Chairman Al Haj Murad. At the same time, the CPP expressed concerns "that forces who vigorously oppose the Moro people's struggle for self-determination are setting a capitulation trap to ensnare the MILF."

Last Thursday, Aquino flew unannounced to Tokyo, Japan to meet Murad in what Malacañang spokesmen described as an effort to "fast-track" peace negotiations between the Philippine government and the MILF. The MILF has been waging an armed struggle to achieve self-determination for the Moro people mainly in wide areas in southern Philippines.
