Land for the tillers. This is the principle of Fr. Fausto Tentorio, fondly called Fr. Pops by the people he selflessly served. In his three decades of missionary work in the Philippines, he was able to establish various programs on education, health and other social services for the Lumads and the peasants in Arakan, Valley, North Cotabato.

Muli na namang mauunsyami ang nakatakda sanang pagdaraos ng pormal na usapang pangkapayapaan sa pagitan ng National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) at Gubyerno ng Pilipinas (GPH) sa Oktubre 31-Nobyembre 12 sa Oslo, Norway. Ito'y dahil nabigong muli ang GPH na tupdin ang mga obligasyon nito sa ilalim ng Oslo Joint Statements ng Enero at Pebrero 2011 na palayain ang karamihan kundi man lahat ng 17 ibinilanggong konsultant ng NDFP na protektado ng JASIG.

Ang mga guro ng bayan, sa loob at labas ng kanilang silid-aralan sa buong kapuluan ay taas-kamaong sumasaludo at nagpupugay sa kadakilaan ni kasamang Gregorio “Ka Roger” Rosal.

Inialay ni Ka Roger ang apat na dekada ng kanyang buhay hanggang sa huling tibok ng kanyang puso sa paglilingkod sa bayan, sa Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas at sa rebolusyong Pilipino. Buhay na inialay nang sa gayo’y matamasa ng henerasyon ng sabayanang Pilipino sa hinaharap ang tunay na malaya, demokratiko, maunlad at mapayapang Pilipinas.

Buot usab ipadangat sa rebolusyonaryong kalihukan ang pahasubo ug pakighiusa ngadto sa relihiyosong kongregasyon sa PIME, sa mga kaubanang kaparian ni Fr. Peace advocates in the country and abroad will be frustrated and deeply disappointed with GPH Panel Chair Alexander Padilla's announcement of indefinitely postponing the peace talks with the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP). Their high hopes for the advance of the peace negotiations and the forging of agreements addressing the roots of the armed conflict are dashed by this Padilla announcement.

The National Democratic Front Southern Mindanao held the elements of the 6th ID-Eastern Mindanao Command-AFP as responsible for the extra-judicial killing of Fr. Fausto “Pops” Tentorio. As the military unit engaged in active counterrevolutionary program of the US-Aquino regime operating in North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Maguindanao and Saranggani, the 6th ID-EastMinCom masterminded, orchestrated and executed the October 17 daylight murder of Fr. Tentorio in Arakan, North Cotabato. The 6th ID-EastMinCom has the mandate from the Aquino administration to implement the GPH’s Oplan Bayanihan, a carry-over of the Arroyo regime’s Oplan Bantay Laya that similarly targets civilians like Fr. Tentorio.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today condemned "in the strongest possible terms" the brutal killing of Father Fausto Tentorio in Arakan Valley, North Cotabato on Monday by gunmen believed to belong to a paramilitary unit under the Philippine Army's 73rd Infantry Battalion.

"The revolutionary forces extend their condolences to the family of Father Tenorio and to the people of Arakan who he selflessly served," said the CPP.

All wearing red shirts and Ka Roger-inspired Mao caps, more than 60 members of the Revolutionary Council of Trade Unions-Southern Tagalog (RCTU-ST) launched a lightning rally in a public market in Calamba City, Laguna at noontime yesterday, October 15. The lightning rally is part of the coordinated activity by the revolutionary movement, both in the countrysides and cities, to honor Gregorio “Ka Roger” Rosal who passed away due to heart attack in a guerilla front in Luzon on June 22, 2011.
