VFA with Australia serves US military hegemonism in Asia-Pacific--CPP

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today condemned the ratification of the Status of Visiting Forces Agreement (SOVFA) with Australia which provides the Australian military access to Philippine seaport and airport facilities. "As an unabashed military puppet and proxy of the US government in the Asia-Pacific, the Australian military launches overseas operations which serve the power projection and hegemonist objectives of the US military."

PNoy’s “report kay boss” (“report for boss”) pictured the situation of the nation according to the view of his real bosses, charting the country’s direction in the next three years in consonance with the greedy interests of the imperialists, big bourgeois comprador, big landlords and bureaucrat-capitalists.  But on the other hand, PNoy’s report to his real boss glossed over the suffering of the broadest number of people, and portends of marked more hardship in the years to come.

Pull all stops to resist the Aquino regime's "cha-cha" scheme

No matter how much Aquino denies it, "cha-cha" is definitely one of the priorities of his regime and the entire ruling system. Aquino's otherworldly State of the Nation Address (SONA) yesterday was a grand failure at deceiving the Filipino people. In rapid-fire fashion, Aquino enumerated the "achievements" of his regime using the old US-designed "good government" template, the same one used by Gloria Arroyo in her nine SONAs. This template is comprised of the selective projection of statistics and half-truths manufactured within Malacañang Palace while completely ignoring the reality on the ground.

Amidst the recent uproar among the citizens of Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro regarding the unpopular ongoing mining operations, through this statement, we make public our revolutionary policy on the issue.

At present, not less than nine large-scale mining companies are operating within 40,121.261 hectares in various areas in North Central Mindanao. Most of these companies operate in Cagayan de Oro city and in the neighboring municipalities in Western Misamis Oriental.

On July 23, Benigno Aquino III will, for the third time, present his State of the Nation Address (Sona).  It will be punctuated with a distorted presentation of the nation’s real situation, achievements bloated by dubious statistics, economic programs that compromise the nation’s patrimony and the environment in favor of foreign big business, big landlords and big bourgeois comprador -- a discourse oblivious of the people’s demand for genuine land reform and national industrialization.  PNoy will highlight his anti-Corona victory, and include the gains of its brutal Oplan Bayanihan against the revolutionary movement, even as its US imperialist master continues to trample upon our country’s sovereignty.
