Mariing pinabubulaanan ng Apolonio Mendoza Command (AMC) ang akusasyon ng AFP na ang New People's Army sa Timog-Quezon ang may kagagawan at nasa likod diumano ng nadiskubreng "mass grave" sa barangay Pagsangahan, San Francisco, Quezon.
Hindi na bago ang isyu ng "mass grave". Bahagi na ito ng arsenal sa propaganda na paulit ulit na binubuhay ng AFP sa tuwing nauubusan na ito ng bala sa propaganda na pinupukol laban sa NPA. Maraming beses na itong ginamit sa nakaraan at paulit-ulit pang gagamitin sa hinaharap.

July 23 marks the third State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Benigno Aquino III, a date that seems remarkable to the Filipino people supposedly because SONA reports the real state of the nation and carries with it a blueprint on how the nation can move forward or at the very least hopeful signs of better things to come. Hence, the meticulous preparations and media projections as well as the eager anticipation of the public enliven the nation – but regrettably not for long.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) today expressed sympathy with thousands of victims of typhoon Gener which brought torrential rains over the past several days. At least 35 people have died as a result of floods and typhoon-related calamities, mostly poor people living in decrepit urban dwellings especially near creeks and along coastlines, as well as in vast rural areas inundated by swelling rivers.

General Mabanta, as reported in the headline news in Panay News on July 17, 2012 only confirmed the NDF-Panay’s view that the General is only interested in a ‘peace talk’ for surrender. For why else did he cite that ‘lots of rebels want to give up’ and ‘wanting a normal life and calling for peace’. He brandished the example of the surrendered RPA (‘Revolutionary Proletarian Army’) begging for millions of patronage as actively engaging in a farcical ‘peace talk’ with the Government of the Philippines (GRP). Since all the while the RPA has been doing the GRP’s dirty war against legitimate activists and the masses whom they harass, extrajudicially kill or abduct with impunity for which the GRP denies responsibility for. In his kind of ‘peace talk’, Mabanta then will assign the revolutionary forces, upon surrender, to the job of ‘assisting in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of conflict-afflicted areas’.

The rabid vigilante leader long feared by the peasant and lumad masses finally fell to NPA operatives, July 27 at five in the afternoon in Sitio Lumondao, Marilog, Marilog, Davao City.
Armed and dangerous, Cawsing Ogaw resisted arrest and attempted to run into an NPA checkpoint, while his son Keem opened fire versus the operatives of NPA Front 54 Operations Command. Both Ogaws were armed with .45 caliber pistols.

New People’s Army punished the notorious paramilitary leader Abantas Ansabo
alias Kumander Ibon, who was responsible for various grave crimes against humanity and banditry, July 27 at 6AM in
Sitio Kiapat, Barangay Ganatan, Arakan, North Cotabato. The NPA arrested and later released six of
his armed minions/Cafgus including his vice commanding officer, and confiscated
a Garand rifle and two shotgun rifles.
