In our forthcoming commemoration, we honor the people and all the martyrs and heroes for their resolute and courageous struggle against the dictatorship. We reflect on the rise and fall of this dictatorship and on the causes and consequences up to the present, in order to know what we as a nation have achieved and how much more we need to do in order to complete the people´s struggle for national freedom and democracy.

Southwest-Negros Guerilla Front encountered a composite unit of the
47th IB Phil. Army and Scout Ranger last August 14 , 2012, 3:20 in the
afternoon at Sityo Magboto, Brgy. Cabia-an, Candoni, Negros Occidental.
The composite unit attempted to raid the temporary NPA encampment. Already in position, the NPA
fired against the attacking military elements. As a result, five (5)
elements of the Phil. Army and Scout Ranger were killed in action (KIA), while some were wounded.

The wounds left behind by the US-Marcos fascist dictatorship refuse to heal in the face of the reactionary state’s continuing suppression of the people and their revolutionary resistance. Let us use the 40th anniversary of the formal declaration of martial law on September 21 to remember the brutality of martial rule.
Let us encourage the study of the history of martial law especially among the youth. Most of them do not have any direct experience on the brutality of martial law and the bitter sacrifices of the millions of people who courageously resisted it. Let us define the roots of martial law and the circumstances surrounding its imposition and emphasize our duty to step up our struggle against the continuing use of state terrorism against the people.

He is prominent in socio-civic-political activities than in the battlefield. His claims of strategic victory over the CPP-NPA-CPDF in Abra are illusory, based on exaggerated figures, deception, and crooked yardstick to measure their advance. He may have won certain battles, but certainly, the AFP/PNP is not winning the war.
But Col. Eliseo Posadas cannot be singled-out in this matter. He is an officer of the fascist AFP, and he is duty-bound to implement Oplan Bayanihan (OPB). With US guidance in it’s formulation and implementation, OPB gives premium on psychological warfare and politico-cultural-economic approaches, while maintaining the crucial role of “improved” military component in the entire counter-insurgency campaign.
